This GABA green tea was co-developed with one of our important clients from Austria. Her inspiration led to the creation of this unique tea.
The darker leaf color is normal—this batch of green tea underwent slight sun-withering to achieve a smoother mouthfeel. Sun-withered green tea is a traditional, though less common, method. GABA is an amino acid formed through anaerobic fermentation, known for its calming effects on the nervous system and mood. This tea not only retains the elegance of green tea but also features a surprisingly sweet dried fruit aroma brought out by the anaerobic fermentation.
